I believe that the analysis of humans engaged in real-world, meaningful activities, triggers important insights for our theoretical understanding of thinking, language, learning and development. However, this requires that we construct creative, relevant methodological approaches, which connect people with the co-analysis and transformation of their activities. These theoretical and methodological requirements drive a specific research approach: “DPD”, for Dialogical, Polyphonic (which I define as meaning being open to the coexistence of multiple voices and perspectives) and Developmental (in the sense of being open to transformation).
