I study lifelong learning and development in relation to work collaboration, in changing work environments, with a focus on the analysis of social and material interactions, technological change, and a socio-cultural perspective on the interplay of institutional, interpersonal and intrapersonal dynamics in learning and development. I am well recognised as an international expert on professional learning, activity analysis, dialogism, and innovative qualitative methods, particularly inspired by the French tradition called Activity Clinics. I have been involved as member and as scientific experts in different international research projects (for example, EU RISE COLAB) and have been guest Professor in UK (Bournemouth University, 2018) and in France (Université de Nantes, 2023; Université de Toulouse, 2026). I work with developmental methodologies such as Cross Self-Confrontations and Instructions to the Double.
