Boundary crossing (Cattaruzza, Kloetzer & Iannaccone, 2022) is facilitating the integration of disciplinary, societal and biographical knowledge. In the curriculum of the bachelor program of Psychology and Education at the University of Neuchâtel, we institutionalized the category of Third Spaces Seminars to highlight seminars making explicit use of resources outside the University to promote academic learning. For example, our courses called Socio-matérialité en contexte, taught by Dr Elisa Cattaruzza, or Développement des personnes âgées, taught by Prof. Tania Zittoun, explicitly connect theoretical knowledge with field visits and practical explorations. At the master level, I am teaching the course called Arts-based approaches to Inclusive Education, focused on artistic practice as a support for facing school dropout.
